Children and teenagers are welcome to attend the Festival, however for their safety and wellbeing some special conditions apply.
Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by two nominated responsible adult carers over the age of 18. 16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18. You will be asked to provide the names of the carers/accompanying adult at the point of booking, and will be unable to complete the booking without it.
Festivals are public events and the care and safety of children and young adults remains at all times the responsibility of their parents/nominated carers/accompanying adult. For insurance purposes, IKRC Grand Canyon and the Festival Organizers cannot take responsibility for children and young adults.
Family Activities: A program of family activities will be offered during the break times. Should there be a lack of activity leaders attending, then an area for children and families to organize their own games will be provided.
Teachings: We regret that children under 3 are not allowed in the Temple during sessions. Any children who do attend teachings are not permitted to play electronic games. Children of all ages are welcome to attend puja.
A video link in a comfortable quiet area reserved for carers with children, is available for all sessions.
Stewarding will be provided in this area. If you are a parent with young children and would like to volunteer to help with Stewarding this area please contact [email protected]
Festival Fees & Accommodation: Please see the Festival Fees page for more information.
Passes: To help ensure the safety of your child, and so that they can be easily reunited with their carers in case of difficulties arising, under 16’s passes will display photographs and names of their two nominated responsible adult carers. Under 16s bookings can only be confirmed when photographs have been received. Because these passes are prepared in advance, you must provide these prior to your arrival.
Parents are reminded that children (of all ages) must be under adult supervision at all times.
